In the current situation, Canada isn't on Switzerland's quarantine list. For those reading this later on, during Covid depending on the situation of each country and the amount of cases/strictness, travellers may or may not be allowed into the country, and even if they were allowed, sometimes they may have to isolate themselves for 7-14 days depending on the rules.
Considering this, so many questions have to be resolved or thought of when traveling (and essentially moving). What airlines (the ones alive) fly to my destination? Which flight is least likely to be cancelled? How many days do I need to quarantine if ever? Who knows how long Covid lasts, what should I bring!?
Maybe it's just my anxiety and the planner in me, but how do you pack for a year, 4 seasons, business wear, travel wear, new apartment in Europe, school gear, etc? I'm all ears! Thus far, I've decided to bring 2 suitcases, a carry-on and my backpack. Depending on Covid, family/friends may or may not be able to bring emergency supplies (and shipping things to Switzerland isn't cheap....).
Interesting though, the practice of packing up your condo and things to move away and not knowing where you'll be after is terrifying yet exciting. It gives perspective of what are the important things in your place. Are they sentimental? I wish I could bring the maps I've framed over my travels with me but way too bulky. How about practical? I'm bringing my Japanese Knives :).
What are things that are a 'must bring' for you? Would you bring the bare minimum and start off fresh? I have a bunch of classmates with family's coming with them, and I have no idea how they're going to do it (good on you)!
